To All tournament players, I am glad to report our tournament has been a success so far. The courts are booked from 11:00 until 14:00. Here is the latest report. Main Tournament The final is almost drawn. Louise Clark has beaten Paul Shade to make it to the final. Jon Miles and Tats are playing tonight. The big final will take place at 13:00 on Saturday. It should be an interesting match, so do come along to support the underdog. Will we be lucky enough to see Paul Shade on the big day to referee his peers? Plate Tournament This group is a bit touch-and-go. Because I had to take the loser of the 2nd round and quarter-final to make up the numbers, we have not had any results yet. Harry Cole has managed to get Ben Cantor out of child-caring duties in the early hours of Wednesday. Dale Rimmington tried to dodge it but when it was reported that John Rowe could potentially take that trophy easily, so he decided to play. Mark Franklin watch out. Sean Barron will never miss a chance to get a trophy. So he needs to get Vic Marden to find time in his very busy work schedule. I am sure John Rowe will not miss a chance to get yet another trophy this year to add to his racketball record (name on the board in golden letter). If any matches cannot be played in time, do let the organisers know and we arrange a slot on Saturday morning to make sure players do not progress on a toss-of-a-coin. Best of the Rest Again another successful competition. Will Smith is waiting for the title challenger. It could any one of three top players: Lisa, Tom or Finlay. Due to Holidays schedule those games will take place on Saturday morning. Well done for making the effort and I hope you will all going to be fit to take Will on at the end of that Marathon. If you have any queries please reply to this message. All other players (unfortunate losers) are more than welcome to come and watch some exciting matches. There is a rumour that there will be Pimms at the bar and the sun will be shining all day long. Regards Harry & Pete
