Congratulations to Paul Lindsay who topped box one in the league that has just ended. Congratulations also to Dan Crowley, who won all his matches, overcoming his "super handicap", although this does appear to have had its intended effect of making his matches reasonably close.
Max Bond won box 2 in a late run in which he and David Stacey pushed me down from the embarrassing lead position that I held at the beginning of the last week.
Tony Moyes and Jamie Lee tied for the top position in Box 3.
As previously announced, in the next league, which is now up, we revert to two big boxes to take us up to the end of the year, so that the 2019 handicap tournament can begin as usual on the first of January. Philip Waters, Dez Lewington and Paul Shade are making welcome returns to the league but Peter Lewis is on sick leave, so our total numbers have gone up by a net 2, to 23.
I will put up a new handicap list on the board on Tuesday. If anyone wishes to play a match before then, the handicaps on the existing list can be used. Those for the players not on the existing list will be Paul Shade superhadicap -12/+4 (the same as Dan Crowley), Philip Waters -6 and Dez Lewington -3. I will review these handicaps and others in the light of the results of the coming league.
